So, what's going on here? I guess it's nostalgia for starters. You don't need me to tell you the modern internet kinda sucks, but it's good to remember that the old internet wasn't exactly unicorns and rainbows, either. "The good ol' days" has always been and will always be a very relative way of looking at things. Glasses and the rose tinting thereof blah blah blah

Still, I can't shake the feeling that something's been lost along the way. Web 1.0 had a lot of problems, but I miss that feeling of a digital frontier where people could settle on a truly new space and figure out what to do with it.
